Education as Transformation:

Learning for Life, Learning Together

As a child who struggled to be seen in the classroom, my core aim in becoming an educator is to help all children feel heard and valued. I strive to create an environment that welcomes our differences and embraces mistakes as an essential part of the learning journey. Diversify Learning is committed to bringing forth the best in every child. With students and parents as our partners in this shared journey of teaching and learning, it is incumbent upon us to nurture curiosity, foster resilience, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

The Art of Collaboration

Partnering with Students

Students are not passive recipients of knowledge; learning begins with their questions, ideas, and perspectives. Supporting their agency is essential to fostering genuine engagement and motivation.

Partnering with Parents

Parents play a crucial role in education by helping build a strong moral foundation and nurturing essential character traits in their children. When parents and teachers partner effectively, their collaboration becomes two pillars supporting the growth, learning, and well-being of each learner.

Partnering with Colleagues

Creating a professional learning pod not only helps us, as educators, become more reflective in our practices, but also exposes us to diverse perspectives and expands our pool of resources.

“Maslow argued that the primary goal of education should be to move students toward self-actualization and not simply to indoctrinate them with a body of facts and skills without regards to ethics or values.”

Why I Started

We have reached a point in our society where children are no longer encouraged to discover their passion, nor to look for their inner strength, but rather to measure success in terms of test scores and future earning potential.

Critical evaluations of assignments and assessments to measure their effectiveness as a form of progress must be our focus as educators. Modifying materials and methods to meet the needs of all learners is essential to the success of a holistic approach.

Educating young minds takes conscientious effort on the part of educators and parents. Drawing out the best in children requires empathy and a personalized learning plan. Motivation, interests and learning styles are among the contributing factors to creating a culture of learning. Providing powerful strategies to inspire Empathy, Respect, Kindness, Commitment and Cooperation in all students, should be the goal of every educator. Diversify Learning will provide in-home & online teaching services while collaborating with parents, classroom teachers and school districts. Workshops and coaching are available for families and educators alike.

Trust vs. Hope

Trust vs. Hope

We often tell students to “trust the process,” but what does that really mean when the process feels overwhelming? A conversation with a student struggling over a grade brought me back to my own journey as a learner. The other day, while I was out with friends, I...
